FAQ
Questions before you send a commission request.
These answers cover inquiries, references, uploads, timing, international shipping, and tailored proposal expectations.
Can you make my character?
Usually yes if the references are clear and the timeline is realistic. Send the character, scope, and images so CosLoom can review feasibility.
Can I start with only a character name?
Yes. You can start with a name or short idea, but an accurate proposal will require references, included pieces, timeline, commission range, and size requirements.
Do you accept small orders?
Yes. Small accessories, props, crowns, trim layers, and focused costume pieces are welcome when the scope is clear and the timeline is realistic.
Can I order only a prop or accessory?
Yes. Props and accessories can be requested alone or used as a light custom starting point from the showroom.
What if my budget is under $300?
Very small accessories or simple props may fit lower budgets, but most custom costume work starts higher. Send the idea and CosLoom can suggest the most realistic path.
How much does a commission cost?
Pricing depends on scope, materials, complexity, finish level, and delivery planning. Focused pieces may begin around $300, while detailed full sets receive a tailored proposal.
How long does production take?
Simple pieces may fit shorter timelines, but detailed costumes, armor, props, and full sets usually need 6-20 weeks depending on the build.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Delivery country is requested during inquiry so packing method, cost, timing, and size limits can be considered early.
Can I send references later?
You can start with a brief description, but an accurate proposal requires references, scope, timeline, and measurements or measurement status.
Are uploaded files private?
Yes. Files submitted through the private atelier brief are stored privately for CosLoom admin review and are not published as public URLs.
Do you recreate copyrighted characters?
CosLoom creates fan-made or character-inspired custom work for cosplay, performance, photoshoots, and personal display. CosLoom is not affiliated with anime, game, film, comic, or entertainment companies unless explicitly stated. Clients are responsible for reference suitability and event or platform rules.
Can you work from fan art or original characters?
Yes. Original characters and fan art can be reviewed if the silhouette, color direction, key details, and permission context are clear enough to build from.
Can I pay a deposit first?
Yes. Payable showroom starting points can be ordered with a 50% production deposit when checkout is active. Please send body measurements, order notes, deadline, and shipping country after payment. Full custom or unclear scope may still need private review first.
Do you accept PayPal or invoices?
Payment method is confirmed with the order or proposal. PayPal may be available for showroom production deposits or approved invoices, and the final balance is due before shipping.
What if my event deadline is soon?
Include the exact date and shipping country. Rush work depends on queue, materials, build complexity, and shipping risk.
Do you accept rush orders?
Rush work depends on queue, complexity, shipping country, and material availability. Include your event date so CosLoom can judge honestly.
Do you do refunds or revisions?
The production deposit reserves production time and may cover planning, materials, or early work. Refunds and revisions are handled according to the agreed scope, production stage, and whether materials or custom planning have already begun.
Need longer preparation notes?
Read light custom vs full custom guide, armor commission guide, or all Atelier Guides.
